Frequently Asked Questions

How do I pay my fees?

As soon as you register your child through our online registration system (Friendly Manager) an invoice will be generated and emailed. This is due for payment before the start of the Term, as per the date written on the invoice. Our bank account number for online banking is 03-1517-0019139-000. You can also pay at the gym by Eftpos (no credit card or cashout), cheque or cash.

Can I pay in instalments?

Normally the Term fee is required in advance. However, other payment options may be offered depending on your circumstances. In this case, please send an email to our Centre Manager, Adrian McMillan explaining your situation and he'll deal with it on a case by case basis (centremanager@omnigymnastics.co.nz)

What session should I enrol my child in?
Please have a look at the timetable for the programme you are interested in (Recreation Artistic Gymnastics, Parkour, Trampoline...) There are a variety of times and groups for different ages.

Why aren't they doing lots of cartwheels and handstands?
The basis for gymnastics and any other sport is Fundamental Movement Skills.  All our sessions  have that as a base and gymnasts learn more skills as they go along.

What does my child need to wear?
Bike shorts/leggings, leotard, or shorts with no buckles, belts or buttons that can scratch the equipment.  A tighter T-shirt or singlet that doesn't slip up when upside down in handstands. Long hair tied up.  Another layer in the winter without zip, buttons or hood.  Shoes and socks off at the door.  Drink bottle in the summer.

Can I be involved with their sport?
Yes, we welcome parent helpers to give support to our current team and help children achieve the best they can. If you would like to get involved, please ask our Centre Manager, Adrian McMillan
There is a supportive process to become a coach if you are interested.

Can my child do competitive gymnastics?
Entry into our competitive program is by invitation. We run trials in Term 3 for the following years competitive squad. Please speak to the Lead coach for more information.

Why can't I register - why won't the system let me proceed?

Ensure that ALL fields are filled in.   You must include a contact email and phone number for the primary caregiver/parent + another emergency contact person and phone number.

- DO NOT enter your email address under your child's details.

- Please ensure you enter your email address correctly.

If you complete the registration correctly you should receive an email within 2 -3 days advising you of your log-in for the system.  This allows you to update/correct details and re-enrol for further terms as enrolments open.

Can I get a refund if my child is sick?
Please refer to our "Enrolments and Fees" policy for more information: https://omnigymnastics.co.nz/policies-and-procedures

Can I do adult gym?
Yes you can, see 'Programme' page for details.

 The Benefits of Gymnastics!
Gymnastics is a fantastic sport to support your child with general movement patterns, strength, and flexibility. Not only is it fun and the gymnast learns new skills but it is a valuable base for all other sports.
We frequently have comments such as 'my running has improved', 'I can now hit a ball', 'my swimming is stronger and faster'

All our sessions are based on the Fundamental Movement Patterns which are the basis for all movement and sport.  So at times it might not look like your child is learning typical gymnastics - cartwheels and handstands. These movement patterns make up all the skills for gymnastics and other sports so the more practice they have at these the faster they will improve with those handstands and cartwheels.  Ask the coach if you have any queries about what your child is learning.
